A Short Passage

“Im Auge der Pflanzen”

“God lets the insensitive ones go, ready to trip up the happy ones, just to get rid of the boredom. Despite all capers, their high spirits are deathly dull. Perhaps he is not in control of his gardening troupe. From above, he watches it sitting next to the devil. Like ants scattered from their heap, they move along, rake in hand, driven forward by hunger, by thirst, by lust, foaming at the mouth.”
